OUR HISTORY
In Tylstrup, a small town in northern Denmark, our farm is beautifully surrounded by willow fields as far as the eye can see. Agriculture has been carried on here for three generations - since 1989 with willow cultivation. We are passionate about our daily work and are constantly trying to develop and utilize the willow's fantastic properties as best as possible. In 2012, we converted the entire farm to organic farming to ensure a sustainable future for the generations to come.
In recent years, we have evolved to be the willow growers' total partner both at home and abroad with advice, planting, harvesting and marketing as well as sales of special machines and our own willow based products.
On our fields, we have approx. 90 different clones distributed over 500 ha where we continuously assess their future potential ourselves or in collaboration with Danish and foreign partners.
WILLOW EXTRACT,
COMPOST AND BEDDING
We are continuously working on developing new products in order to make the best possible use of all the willow's many facets. This development has spawned exciting new avenues that range from cosmetics to flowers and animals.
In 2010 we started our sister company SALIXIN A/S where we produce and sell organic willow extract for cosmetics and food etc. The products are today sold through distributors in more than 20 countries worldwide. You can read much more about that here.
Since 2014, we have developed and tested what is today a 100% peat-free compost produced on willow and ingredients from our own farm. The compost is used on both the professional and private market. You can read much more about our compost here.
In 2023, we embarked on a entirely new adventure - willow compost as bedding for animals. It has been shown to have many advantageous properties in addition to the low climate footprint. You can read more about our bioactive bedding here.

VISIT US
It is always a pleasure to have visitors - both from schools, institutions, organisations, companies or the like. We are happy to arrange a company visit, where we offer a tour and a walk-through of everything we work with. We can tell you a lot about energy willow, plantning, yildt, and in general about all aspects of the willow's use from planting to harvest and all the products we have made from willow.
We have the option of inviting people inside for lectures in our premises or in our hunting cellar. Here we have the opportunity to give a presentation or we can arrange presentations from other lecturers as desired.
We can offer to take care of catering, otherwise you are welcome to take care of this part yourself. Can also offer accommodation for a maximum of 10 people.
