How Much Biobed Should Be used?
This depends on several factors:
- Size and number of animals
- Size of the enclosure
- How many hours animals spend on the substrate
- Whether it’s meant to be a long-term base or a short-term bedding solution
In general: The thicker, the better.
Never use less than 10 cm, as it's difficult to maintain the correct moisture level in thin layers.
